Keisuke faced Seiji Iwaki of Emperor on Akagi, although this battle is shown only in Battle Stage. Nakazato manages to maintain his lead throughout the race, however, through a combination of Nakazato's R32 losing grip in its tires and the rain that had began halfway into the race, Keisuke was able to overtake on the outside. Weeks later, after Ryosuke's defeat against Takumi, the RedSuns make their way out to Myogi for the battle. The two of them decide to have a rematch when the RedSuns head to Myogi. With Keisuke embarrassed and the RedSuns' plans halted, Ryosuke plans to battle the Eight-Six himself in order to reclaim their honor.īefore the battle between Ryosuke and Takumi, Keisuke enters an impromptu battle with Takeshi Nakazato of the Myogi NightKids on Akina. Keisuke is then overtaken by Takumi when he performs a gutter run in the 5 consecutive hairpins near the end of the course. The race begins, and even though the Eight-Six is technically inferior to the FD, it manages to keep up with him throughout the whole course, falling behind on the straightaways but catching up again in the corners. This car is revealed to be the Eight-Six that had beaten Keisuke, driven by Takumi Fujiwara, and not his father Bunta, like Iketani had previously believed. On the night of the SpeedStars battle, Keisuke is originally set up to go against Kenji, due to Iketani being injured, however this race is delayed due to a traffic car heading up the mountain. Keisuke talks to Koichiro Iketani at the gas station he works at, asking him to pass on a challenge to the "Phantom Eight-Six". Keisuke vows revenge against the Eight-Six, spending the days up until the battle with the SpeedStars searching for the car on Akina. The two engage in an impromptu battle with the Eight-Six performing a perfect Inertia Drift, shocking Keisuke and causing him to spin out. Despite this, Ryosuke wishes for Keisuke to race, as he would easily be able to set a record that the locals will be unable to beat for years.ĭeciding to head home to Akagi, Keisuke is confronted on his way down Akina by a Panda coloured AE86. Ryosuke notes that even though the SpeedStars have some decent racers, even some of the worse racers in the RedSuns would be able to beat them. Akina, the RedSuns challenge the local team, the Akina SpeedStars, to a battle. Keisuke became the second fastest racer of the RedSuns with his RX-7 FD3S, only being beat by his brother and his RX-7 FC3S. The RedSuns proved themselves as the fastest team on Akagi, aiming to become the fastest racers in all of Gunma, and later, the whole of the Kanto plain. Originally part of a bōsōzoku gang, Keisuke Takahashi left that life behind to join his brother Ryosuke's racing team: the Akagi RedSuns. Neptune Speed arranged the ARC front-mount intercooler and Koyo aluminum radiator in a V-mount configuration. The remainder of the turbo system consists of a stainless steel A-Spec turbo manifold, A-Spec down pipe, TiAL Sport wastegate, HKS SSQ blow-off valve, and the prerequisite GReddy polished elbow. The A-Spec kit takes full advantage of the engine's flow characteristics and, with its non-ball bearing center section, it's a cost-effective alternative to straight GT series based kits. The rotary isn't a four-cycle engine combustion happens differently in rotaries and they rev high, making for a good deal of exhaust flow given their diminutive displacement. This turbo shares compressor wheels with the GT35-R but has a bigger turbine wheel compared to the GT35-R's 68mm unit. The Mazda's thrill generator is an A-Spec GT3574 kit featuring a non-ball bearing Garrett turbo with a responsive 0.84 A/R turbine housing, 74mm turbine wheel, and an 82mm compressor wheel. Wayne tapped A-Spec Tuning of Schaumburg, Ill., to fill the boost gap. Going single turbo is a great way to maximize the 13B's potential plus you get to discard the hundred or so vacuum lines of the sequential twin setup.
